ACT OF MAY 11, 1912 DECLARATION FOR PENSION

State of Alabama
County of Jackson

     On this 4th day of June, A.D. one thousand nine hundred and 12
personally appeared before me, a Notary Public within and for the county
and State aforesaid, George W. Haws, who, being duly sworn according to law,
declares that he is 70 years of age, and a resident of Fabius RFD
county of Jackson, State of Alabama; and that he is the
identical person who was ENROLLED at Stevenson, Ala under the name of
George W. Haws, on the 10th day of Sept, 1863
as a Private in Company B, 1st Tennessee and
Alabama Videt Mounted Cavalry

in the service of the United States, in the Civil war, and was HONORABLY DISCHARGED
at Stevenson, Ala., on the 16th day of June, 1864.
That he also served none other except above stated.
That he was not employed in the military or naval service of the United States otherwise than as stated
above. That his personal description at enlistment was as follows: Height, 5 feet 6 (5?) inches;
complexion, Dark; color of eyes, Black; color of hair, Black; that his occu-
pation was farmer; that he was born March 27th, 1842.
     That his several places of residence since leaving the service have been as follows: I have
Resided Continuously in this Neighborhood
Since being Discharged.

     That he is a pensioner under certificate No. 1139387.
     That he has          applied for pension under original No.         
     That he makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the pension roll of the United
States under the provisions of the act of May 11, 1912.
     That his post-office address is Fabius, county of Jackson,
State of Alabama.
