Kaleidoscopes

Winter Kaleidoscopes
Start here. Shows some recent wintertime kaleidoscopes and the photos they were made from. The process starts with cutting out a triangle from a photo (angle of 22.5, 45, 30, or 60 degrees). Next, the triangle is flipped over to make a mirror image. The original and its mirror image are then brought together to make the basic image that is rotated in increments and pasted down to make the final kaleidoscope. Try to find where the basic triangle cut was made.
